For nearly 25 years Paul Anstiss has helped clients from around the world to become effective communicators. He has coached captains of industry and finance, entrepreneurs, politicians, and NGOs in how to get the best out of their interviews with the media. He has also shown them how to give engaging presentations.

Paul draws on his 35 years’ experience as a journalist to show his clients how to shape the narrative of an article, take control in a crisis, and play an active role in determining the outcome of an interview with the media. His aim is to challenge and empower the storyteller, to show potential interviewees and spokespeople what the journalist wants from them, and to share tips that will help them create a positive impact.

Whether it’s sharing good news or mitigating the bad, establishing a brand, launching a product, or explaining what’s really at the heart of quarterly results, Paul’s help has been invaluable to many.

Paul was a co-presenter for the BBC’s World Business Report and helped to analyse the markets as they woke up around the world. He also reported for the BBC’s Business Today, BBC Breakfast News, and 24 News Channel programmes. He knows how to get to the heart of a good business story and communicate with different audiences.

In addition to his work covering financial stories, Paul has produced news and feature items from around the world including G7 summits in Naples and Munich, ECOFIN in Brussels, The Northern Ireland Peace Process (including the conferences on investment held in Washington DC and Belfast) UN and NATO conferences, the conflicts in Bosnia, Georgia, and Somalia, and the work of climate scientists in Antarctica. Paul’s approach to training is both vigorous and challenging. He wants clients to go away at the end of a session more confident and better equipped to share their stories. He also wants them to have a smile on their faces.

Some of the clients that Paul has worked with include Visa EMEA, Barclays, HSBC, Rabobank FAR, Deloitte, Scottish Widows, Akzo Nobel, FT.com, The United Nations (UNIDO), EDF Energy, Tui, Pfizer, Astra Zeneca, Live Legends Events, WAVIN, Meatable, ZOA, Nutricia, TKF, Transport for London, Diageo, Lions Cannes Festivals, UK National Health Service (NHS), and the University of Groningen.
